Violence.

Matt. 11:12

For the kingdom of God to suffer violence means that it permits, rewards or requires, welcomes spiritual violence in our pursuit of God.
Yes we have access to everything in the Spirit of God, but we must take hold of it, embrace it.

Jesus is inviting us to spiritual violence saying in essence, “The kingdom of Heaven allows for violence-will anyone receive this invitation?” This applies to more than the area of spiritual warfare. He is urging us, moving us, motivating us to pursue deep intimacy with Him with a holy, violent love and to cultivate a lifestyle of spiritual violence.
What does that mean?
To be spiritually violent means we will pay any price…any price of self-denial in order to obey God’s will. Solomon said it well, ”If a man would give for love all the wealth of his house, it would be utterly despised...” Song 8:7
Another translation reads:
Love is invincible facing danger and death.
Passion laughs at the terrors of hell.
The fire of love stops at nothing - it sweeps everything before it.
Flood waters can't drown love, torrents of rain can't put it out.
Love can't be bought, love can't be sold.

I'm talking about getting in His presence, prayer, fasting, worship...voluntarily choosing weakness so that He is made strong. So excited about Father's Day. Excited about HIM.

In other words, when love is working its way in our hearts, there is no price too high.
The source of our spiritual violence is not fear; it is the love of God.
